LLRC's final showing of our Christmas Trains for the 2004 season is tonight at 7-9 p.m., at our home in the Hutchinson (Minn.) Mall. But our three layouts, HO, American Flyer and three-rail (Lionel/Marx) are open throughout the year from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. the first and third Saturday of each month and 7-9 p.m. every Tuesday. The mall is located on the south side of Hutchinson at 1060 State Hwy. 15 S. Admission is free.
Also, the club will host our Spring Rail Fest April 30-May 1, 2005, at the mall, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. and noon to 5 p.m. Sun. Admission is free. There will be several layouts and a small flea market.
Our next big Hutchinson Model Railroad Show, our 11th, is set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the McLeod County Fairgrounds, 800 Century Avenue S.W., in the Agribition building (Cattle Barn). Admission is $3, free for those 12 and younger. At our 10th show this past October, we had 17 layouts in at least five scales and more than 40 flea market tables, as well as clinics, a model contest, and door prizes.
