Just a reminder to LLRC members and the general public, the club's annual Christmas Trains display, in which all three of the club's layouts (HO, American Flyer, and three-rail) will be decorated for the holidays and feature Christmas-themed trains is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 3, 10, and 17, and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 6, 13 and 20. Workers are needed to help decorate the club room at Hutchinson (Minn.) Mall on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Admission is free.
The club also will be hosting several sections (200-plus kids) of second-graders from Hutchinson schools on Dec. 12-13, during the school day, roughly 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Members are needed to help.
Also note that LLRC's annual Spring Rail Fest, which features several portable layouts and a flea market of model railroad equipment, is scheduled at Hutchinson Mall for Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30. Layouts are welcome. Contact club leaders listed on the home page to bring a layout.
