Posted by T.Davis Four clinics are planned (detailed elsewhere on the Luce Line Web site) and there will be popular vote model contests in steam, diesel, freight cars, passenger cars, structures, and MOW. Winners will receive prizes and certificates at 3 p.m. Entries will be taken until 10:30 a.m. with voting closing at 1 p.m. Manufacturers are beginning to send door prizes. There are more than 50 prizes already in, worth more than $500. There will be hourly door prize drawings beginning at 10 a.m. for the general public attending the show. At 4 p.m., there will be a drawing for prizes for layout and other exhibitors, MRVD and LLRV members. Flea marketers again will not be included in the prize drawings, but they will once again receive a certificate for $3 off their lunch at our concession stand. Concessions are again offered by the Country Diner and Kathy Graf, wife of LLRC member Larry Graf. The doors open at 9 a.m. Admission is $3, free for children younger than 13. Last year, about 350 people attended, plus an additional 100 flea marketers, layout exhibitors, MRVD and LLRC members, making this one of the biggest and best model railroad shows in rural Minnesota.
