Posted by TDavis on 2/12/2002, 8:00 am Also, Gary Lenz of Winsted was there and we were able to confirm that he will make a presentation on his Luce Line RR material at the Heritage Center at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11. He will have a slide show and is inviting two former railroad workers to join him. This event will be open to the Historical Society members, too. The LLRC Inc. will have to provide cookies, bars, etc. (no sandwiches, pickles or chips they do sweets only!) I have contacted President Mark Braun to recommend that at our March meeting we ask members to bring one or two dozen cookies or bars each to the event. I will see if the historical society will make coffee they have the pots there. This might be a good opportunity for the club to get some community exposure.

My presentation on the Milwaukee Road's Hutchinson branch line that took place Sun., Feb. 10, at the McLeod County Heritage Center in Hutchinson, was very well attended. There were at least 80 people there, including at least two other LLRC members Larry and Kathy Graf, and Gerald Karstens.
