I've finally come to my senses & realized that I'm not going to be the one to finish my 19'Lysander & am offering her for sale. I've owned 'Feed The Goat' for the last four years over which time I've made many useful modifications, the most drastic being a conversion to four full size berths! She has self draining cockpit, added extra ballast, log & depth instruments, sliding gunter etc...
A purpose built fuel tank in a draining locker has been built & everthing required to obtain a Boat Safety Certificate has been carried out.
Every improvement has been made while maintaining the lines of the boat.
So why sell? Well in Oct'04 after taking her off her swinging mooring I thought it would be benificial to sheave the whole hull in epoxy/cloth & I set about doing this. By Jan all the trim had been removed & the hull sanded to a point that was almost ready for coating, & thats how she still stands! She been stored inside ever since.
'Feed The Goat' is not a Lysander in need of restoration but reasssembly as she is in excellent condition. Taping the seams & a good paint job would have her afloat in a very short time or anyone more ambitious could carry on and sheave her.
She's an honest boat with loads of character.
Pictures can be seen of her by visiting http//groups.msn.com/lysanderSailer/home.htm
