Hi Stevet,
I have owned both a wooden 17 foot and grp 17 Lysander, the grp one had four berths in the cabin, 2 forward and 2 quarter berths running under the cockpit seats, fine for mum, dad and two youngish children. The wooden one had the standard two berths, but with such a big cockpit two further berths could easily be arranged under a cockpit tent. Mind you she was mainly sailed on the Broads with only the occasional trip along the East Coast.
