Hi, i recently purchased a 17' lysander called Cornflake. It is a wooden construction and needs some minor repairs, mainly at the back where someone has fitted an engine and the bracket of the engine has broke through the wood leaving the a hole so the water has been able to get in the wood and has rotted an area of about 12" square. Also where the water is pumped out the side water has ran inside the boat and has made this a bit soft. Please can you advise me on the materials to use to fix these problems and the best way to do it. I will be fixing the boat this year for next years sailing as it needs varnishing and painting once the repairs are done.
