Hello everyone, I am considering an extended cruise in my Lysander Sallywag. From my home in Doncaster I will be launching into the Trent at West Stockwith, sailing the tidal Trent to Torksey and entering the Fossdike Navigation. from there, motoring to Lincoln, onwards into the River Witham and down to Boston. This is where it might get interesting. I am wondering about sailing out on to the Wash and either heading into the Ouse or Welland systems or maybe even sticking to the wobbly water and heading to Wells on the North Norfolk coast. The 'inland' sections appear to be well within my capabilities even if there will be more motoring than sailing. I am a bit apprehensive about the salty bit however. Have any members any experience of this sort of voyage? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in anticipation, Mick Rumble.
