Hi
I bought a part-built Lysander last year which had been left to fill with water. Having dried it out I now want to finish it. It appears the boat was built according to plan at 17'. I like the idea of a self-draining cockpit (the boat already has a central outboard pit; My problem is I can't seem to establish what height the floor should be (where will the waterline be??). Can anyone help by suggesting dimensions, eg from the hog at key points?
Also, will epoxy adhere to previously painted surfaces - I want to seal/reinforce some of the frames and lockers to the skin (I think its polyurethane primer or undercoat)?
Do most owners fit a naval pipe and anchor locker - or is there a 'keep it simple' option?
Lastly, can anyone recommend a method for putting windows in - I think they are made of perspex?
Many thanks - and I look forward to meeting on the water sometime!
