I have sailed on six and paddled on seven of the lakes in the Lake district. For Lysanders I recommend launching on Derwentwater at the marina, Portinscale, choice of two slips fee to pay, tractor may be available for recovery and on Ullswater at the Ullswater sailing club. The slip has a jetty and there is also a pontoon. (For annual moorings see DALEMAIN in the yachting press or contact me.) The LOA has organised many meets at these two venues, thoroughly recommended.
