Hi Julie See below
Lysander: Feli
A unique professionally built and beautiful little yacht, which has been admired where ever we have been, very well equipped as a compact cruiser.
This boat has always been dry stored undercover when not on a cruise.
Built 1969 by Woods Norfolk and fitted out by Coventry Boat Builders. Felix is equipped as a "proper little yacht", with bronze fittings, 3 bronze opening ports in cabin and screw down vent over cooker, Baby Blake in heads compartment (spare seals and gaskets) with another bronze opening port and bronze skin fitting, stainless cockpit sink and water pump locker under( location for water tank), cabin sink and pump, to port (tank location under floor amidships, (2 galvanised tanks available but not fitted.), "OSOCOOL" cool box (water powered), cockpit gas locker with through hull vent, cooker with grill with Pussers locker under it on aft bulkhead of cabin, gas lighting, matching brass clock and barometer on forward bulkhead with lift up storage shelf under, double berth port, nautical motif curtains. Ships bell available but removed (It dings in the night if there's any movement!)
The gas lighting has been used sparingly. Even with portholes open it creates too snug a fug. I'm told gas fumes are poisonous! I have not used the cooker in the cabin for the same reason.
Equipment includes:
Seagull Century long shaft - bronze bracket on transom (Cockpit Locker to store outboard fuel etc. also contains whale bilge pump.), 2 Seagull auxiliary tanks; lifting rudder, long and short tillers; mast tabernacle, Jeckels mainsail and jib , sailing mast, Boom and rigging, almost unused; motoring mast and boom; camping awning with Velcro closures and small repair, cockpit cover (needs repair), sun awning, rain awning; oversize bolt on keels, not fitted but are included as is the Hurricane lamp - cockpit light/riding light.
The purpose built galvanised trailer with winch, has no rust, although the brakes and hubs will need checking after standing for 12 years - the mudguards are legal but need adjusting as I fitted different wheels to take tubless radial tyres - The boat and trailer were built to imperial dimensions so the hitch is 2 inch not 50 mm. The hitch will fit on a 50mm ball but If there is wear in the ball or hitch the trailer can detach.(I may have a spare 2 inch ball but have yet to find it.) I have the original plans and sail plan from which she was built and rigged. I also have the brass name plaques commemorating my cruises on the rivers and canals.
A clean sound Lysander complete with outboard, mast, sails, gear and trailer for about the cost of a new purpose built trailer?
£2775.00 ono.
She really is a cracking little boat.
