I'm here in Sherborne Dorset but have never used West Bay, the stretch of coast it puts you into just dosn't appeal to me.
I launch at Portland or Baiter Park, Poole (very shallow slipway) and in my opinion these are the only two places worth sailing around here. I used to launch at Redcliff Farm Warham but his son has taken over and he got greedy with me and I refuse to go back there, however it might be handy if you don't mind paying a premium, you can leave your car and trailer there, it's not busy and it's a good slipway.(hmm.. tempting)
