Posted by Laura Yes they are both in there, but it is mainly Erik and this guy who seems to be filling in for the Persian. It is about Erik building an Opera house for I believe Hammerstien, the first one. Also it was a story that starts on the death bed of Madame Giry. I think that it would be good, but I signed the petition because with all of those that hated the sequel, it could do horrible things the The Phantom itself. Webber may think about closing Phantom and replacing it with this sequel...that is something I have thought about. That is what he did to Cats. He closed it for Woman in White. I just fear for the future of Phantom amongst the other fans, not with the more literary educated ones. (Like I see hang around here) anna I think you and I are in the 5% of those that want to see what Webber will do with us, but you must agree that we should worry about the other 95% that hated Phantom in Manhattan. I think it was better than Phantom, by Susan Kay. I suggest all Phantom fans read The Phantom in Manhattan, it is actually pretty good, it has flaws but so does the original.

I too would go see it, but I do not like what the book did to Raoul's character. Why would he not know English? I am pretty sure a French Man of his class would know English. That was a strange part, and of course him being sterile was a bit strange and seemed like an excuse for plot development.
