Posted by Robert Hawkins But each time I have seen Howard since he's gotten better and better. Yesterday afternoon he got a very nice standing ovation, a rare thing indeed on a matinee Saturday afternoon in NYC! The house was nearly sold out as well!

I had a similiar experience when I first saw Howard in 2000. Working with Sarah Pfsisterer, Gary Mauer, Jeff Keller and what I feel was one of the best Broadway casts the show had must have been difficult for a relative newcomer. I felt he played the tragedy of the character well but didn't do MOTN as well or get across the redemptive aspects at the end.
