In terms of photographs, I have only one picture from back then.It's from the cutter races in the early '60s. The cutters preceeded the school's use of canoes. I can e-mail it if you like. It shows an actual stretcher in its original form before it became a both a form of punishment and also a verb ie; to be "stretchered".

I was at the weekend school in Selkirk when I was ten tears old. I recall CBC did some sort of documentry of the school in 1962.
