Hi Wilma, I think you're on the right track in looking at the computer/technology for your daughter. The co-writer is a great program. It's known as word-prediction software. As you write, word choices show up on the screen and you choose which word you want to complete a sentence. It's motivating and fun for kids. It will speak the sentences that are typed if you want it to. I don't remember co-writer costing so much!! Check with your "Augmentative Communication" Team leader in your school district. They may have it to loan.
