Do you think that people of Diego Garcia should be allowed to become British citizens as a result of the betrayal and abandonment of these people by the Mauritian Government? I believe that Diego Garcians must be allowed to re-settled in Mauritius and be compensated by the Government of Mauritius. Diego Garcians have no rights to claim British citizenship because the causal connection is so remote. The people of Diego Garcia were simply sold off for the benefit of Mauritius. What do you think?
