Posted by Raja on 28/7/2007, 5:00 pm, in reply to "Mauritian Creole" Mauritian Creole, our National language in Mauritius is something to be proud of and not to be neglected like your parents. Now, how do you learn good Creole? I suggest that you come to Mauritius and find yourself a good Creole family who will be prepared to take you through this journey of Creole discovery. You must do everything in Creole. If you are not too young and unmarried, you must try to get yourself a good Mauritian CREOLE who will ensure that you are fully immersed in the art of Creolisation. After your Creole initiation, you must continue to live a Creole life and forget your British connection. Above all, you are a Creole and must become a Creole. You can only become a complete cReole if you speak, understand Creole and live like a cREOLE.

It's a real shame, my lovely Sarah that your parents have failed so horribly to connect you to your roots.
