Posted by Raja on 3/8/2007, 11:01 am, in reply to "Re: Mauritian Creole" d'akord avek tois. bizin coze creole. sa nu langue nationale. please help sarah. poor girl, she is crying out for help. her heart is torn out by being denied by her parents of her true creole culture. sarah has been dispossed of her roots and needs our help. she is torn at present. sarah does not know how to live in aforeign land. sarah is a very unhappy girl who desperately wants to go back to her creole roots. let us help her. sarah has difficulty of her identity. that's why she wants to be connected to her roots. speaking creole is not shameful. i am totally furious that sarah's parents can be so inhumane by depriving sarah her ability to go back to her roots. sarah is at a loss. she does not belong to the british society and she wants to bere-united to her true roots. i am really mad at some creole parents who can easily forget their roots and bring up their children in a foreign land by immersing them into this nonsensical foreign language. i am very disappointed with creole kids who don't look british and yet can't speak creole. this is very shameful and needs to be stopped by those shameful creole parents. we are born mauritians and our offsprings will always be mauritians. this, they cannot change. stop pretending to be what you are not although you may think you are superior to those still living in mauritius. stop this charade and start your true life as a creole. sarah's case is a very sad one, but not the only one. i have heard with great shame that many creole families overseas bring up thier kids as if they are british. the simple fact, you can't change your colour, race and roots.
