Dear cyril, my backgroung is mauritian and I personally refuse to further classify myself into any subgroup or culture like some anthropological
find. When someone uses the words 'prevailing force' it doesn't bring to mind a harmonious mauritius but rather a mauritius dominated by a ruling class which is what has caused dissent and unhappiness in the first place. I don't know what the answer is for the injustice felt by the creole people, the displacement felt by by non residential mauritians (or aliens if you prefer) or the other issues bubbling under mauritius's surface. But surely segregating ourselves into little groups will only acheive little things.Best wishes.
