My Dear Bellamia and Joanne
You both have completely misconstrued and misunderstood our AIM in creating a socially cohesive Mauritian society via the foundation of FCM.
We are not a separatist movement. Rather, we simply want CREOLES are duly recognised in our Mauritian constitution and our Creole language as our National Language.
At present, Mauritius constitutionally does not recognise the CREOLE PEOPLE and we are determined to ensure that our culture, heritage and origins are fully and deservedly recognised by all Mauritians.
To say we are trying to build up ghettos and disjointed groups in Mauritius is a fallacy and propaganda material.
As you know, there have been many so-called alien Mauriitians living overseas who have tried (unsuccessfully) to belittle the CREOLE language and culture. WHY is it so from these minority alien Creoles? Well, simply because they are ashamed of their origins and unlike us cannot show and have any pride being CREOLES.
Suffice for me to say that given the patriotic ideals of FCM, we are on the verge of some historical changes in Mauritius. CREOLES and our ancestors have made Mauritius what it is today and we deserve to be congratulated for this and to be bestowed with the ownerhip of Mauritius. Without our ancestors, Mauritius would have been still in the dark ages.
For some of you who have only disdain for CREOLES, let me tell you that we are not inferior nor are we unhappy of our material welloffness.
Let's make history here and my call to all Mauritians to get behind FCM and make sure that our demands are met. There is nothing to be ashamed of being a Creole.
It was indeed a great feeling being part of our Mauritian History at CHAMP DE MARS. WHERE YOU THERE?
