Why do you think CREOLE issues are not that important?
Are you one of those CREOLE Mauritians living overseas who have nothing proud to say about CREOLES?
It is without dispute that there are other cats to skin in Mauritius, but, the CREOLE fight and historical march towards recognition cannot be ignored and swept under the carpet.
Where you at Champ de Mars? Seeing this sea of CREOLES HOLDING HANDS AND KISSING EACH OTHER is something that one cannot forget. This was a historical moment shared by thousands of us and it would be wrong to say that we were simply in the minority and trying to break away from the other races.
The time has come when it's no lomger shameful to speak CREOLE AND TO BE CALLED A CREOLE.
