Dear cyril, you are grandstanding. I haven't noticed anyone but yourself use the words distain, shame, inferiority and unhappiness in the same sentence as the word creole on this message board. I personally do not have any superiority complex toward any group of people nor do I look down on any language (official or unofficial) . I love to speak creole and learnt from scratch as an adult alien. I found it easier to learn than french (all that congugating!) and it enables me to speak to most echelons of mauritian soceity when I am there. However do you truly believe that creoles are the only ones that have suffered injustice in Mauritian history? And does your call to 'all' mauritians extend to any group other than the creoles? And please stop attacking us in Australia for what you think we believe. If truth be known there is more racism, ostrasism and hatred towards the creoles in Mauritius than will ever come out of this country. Sad but unfortunately true.
