I would prefer to believe that a misunderstanding of my post prompted your reply. That is, unsurprisingly, ill-conceived pseudo-insights based on unfounded facts. In my post, Gerard, you were a mere adornment attached to a light-hearted philosophical question posed to Cyril, in a spirit of poking-fun. Poking-fun, Gerard, is to mocking what light-beer is to hard liquor. There is a difference. Still with me? No. Okay, I’ll type slow-w-w-er for you. Are you right now? Ok then, switch your brain back on for a moment. Unless you happen to be Cyril’s official apologist, the question is his to answer – not yours John (thought I forgot? No, I didn’t.)
More precisely, Herve, I don’t know you from a bar of soap, yet, you say that I’m predictable. How does that work? Inside information, perhaps? Or, could be, what you don’t know, you just don’t know that you don’t know. That too is a possibility.
Often, on this board, no, very often, you’ve rhapsodized about your more-patriotic-than-thou predisposition, which I’ve endured until now, with a quiet chuckle. But since, you’ve upped the ante with your too-mouldy-for-words little dig “don’t feel like one of us because you come from Rodrigues”, I must now share with you that which I’ve long suspected: Scrotum-squeezing budgie-smugglers may be affecting the blood flow to your brain.
By inadvertence, you’ve absent-mindedly revealed your mindset, for all with eyes to see. To expound here would be to stretch your attention span, so, I’ll cut to the chase. If the ‘us’, in your ‘part of us’, and that’s a big if, are all Gerard’s clones, then you are right my friend, I am not one of ‘us’. I would rather go to a cultural knackery, speak pigeon French and watch a rathole – forever.
