yeah, it's very funny.
I particularly like the bit on " Kompanye " and the endless cheek kisses. I remember when I was young, I would get told off if I did not kiss these numerous aunties and uncles when we visited them.
also another interesting observation the author mentions that everyone seems to be a relation- an uncle or an auntie. This is probably very true, somehow we are all inter-related. there are probably more inter-marriages than we are prepared to admit. Perhaps this last point is the missing link in that ever elusive notion of Mauritianism. what do you think?
would love to read an australian version of it!
Lets all strive so that WE dont produce any STOLEN GENERATIONS through our own mistakes!
