Jean Noel, you are correct in regards to the figure quoted (thanks). I also back up your point in saying that agents are not Social Welfare Worker to look after the well-being of Mauritian students while they are in Australia. I am not trying to defend them, but surely their job is just to enroll the student in an eduction institution in Australia. Last time I personally witnessed a case with a women coming to Melbourne with her 3 months old baby and wanted to attend class with her baby...be real you come here to study and you should be smart enough NOT to bring a baby with you. Unfortunately, this is another sad case...who does she blamed? Not the family...not the husband who is still in Mauritius, but went directly to the international office and point the finger at the agent. I think prospective student from Mauritius should wake up and start taking responsibility and stop blaming others for their own action.
