Hi Stephy,

I sincere believe you ARE A VERY SMART person.
Since you've ask for help 1st before you come here in Australia (Melbourne).

Then again I am a bit worry cause you mentioned you're coming in January 2009.
Which I'm assuming you have already start & finished (or nearly finish) procedures to come & study at "Holmesglen" here in Melbourne.

Together with Danielle; Sabrina & I we have set up MSSG (Mauritian Students Support Group) here in Melbourne since the begin of this year (JAN 2008)as a "Service D'ecoute & Support Morale".
for people coming to study in Melbourne.

One of the reason of all the "blabla...& tapaz.." is because a lot of students has had real real problems. Unfortunately there are just a handful of them who has been able to make it.

The school itself is of high standard in regard to gain skill & have a qualification after you finish your study (that is in whichever field you have chooen to study).

As for getting a job. At this stage I do not know what is your background in terms of - job you're doing in Mauritius now - your job experience & qualification in your field etc...etc
Nevertheless, IT IS NOT EASY to find a job in Melbourne. Also, because you will be here in Melbourne on a Student Visa you will be restricted to work only 20 hours per week.
And if you intend or has been told that you will geta job to pay for your study and you living expenses. That IS NOT 100% correct.

Hopefully after my response to your "please help". I will hear a bit more from you & receive more info from you so that we can have a better idea of what are your expectation and so on.

P.S: Please note that we DO NOT provide or promise any accommodation; work; financial support of any kind.
But we MIGHT recommend & guide you toward people who MIGHT help with accommodation where ever possible.Because MSSG is a community base group.

Please note as well Step, that there are many students on a long waiting list here in Melbourne; who are still looking for accommodation & work and has been here more that 6-8 months ago.
