Hi all,
My brother has been seperated from his wife since nearly 2 yrs. He is currently living with his gf and wishes to divorce his wife. However since there are properties involved, he wanted to go for the 'divorce a l'amiable'. Am sure his wife will ask for a big share of the properties.
My question is, if ever his wife does not agree to the conditions being presented a l'amiable, that is equal share of the properties, alimony for the kids, etc...how is the divorce treated as from there? Do they go back to square 1, that is endless dispute at court over several hearings?
Kindly help as we have been to a lawyer who says divorce a l'amiable is resonable yet when we have raised the above concerns, he just beat around the bush and never gave a straight answer.
Awaiting your reply and suggestions.
Thanks
Urvashi
