I tend to agree with you. Commonsense must always dictate any actions that may be embarked upon.
However, it seems that you and Bashir are doubtful people who are not willing to accept anything on its face value. As to what bashir Khan's motives are, I don't know nor will I question his motives
Yes, you are right. The law is clear on the legal consequences pertaining to signing petitions.
Bashir Khan made a point that you seem to have missed. Bashir clearly states that only UK citizens are protected by any immunity provided by the British government. I wonder then as to why Bashir is posting his petition in an Australian forum. Australians are not british citizens and therefore do not enjoy the same privileges and rights as the uk citizens. Bashir ought to have known this and yet, he unwisely proceeded to have australians signing a petition that could have exposed them to potential legal suits for being vexatious or frivolous.
My friend, Bashir, if you need a legal opinion, you should let me know and I'll be more than happy to organise one for you.
