Grateful for your numerous advice and explanation of the principles and concept of law. It is always nice to be reminded of the same from time to time irrespective of the source!!
Apologies for being unreasonable, to borrow from your thoughts!
However I must point out that I am a long supporter of the Chagos cause and I have been involved in the long protracted legal battle against the British Government. We have won 3 times in British Courts but lost at the final hurdle in the House of Lords. But the fight goes on.
I suggest you visit Number10.gov.uk which is the British PM Homepage and read the section on e-petitions. You may wish to know that it is not the first time we have petitioned the PM on the Chagos cause and it goes without saying that all care and efforts have been taken to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the e-petitions.
I still maintain that it would be ridiculous if not repugnant for the PM to sue for damages for being petitioned! By the way one of the latest petition is asking the PM to resign!!
Perhaps you may construe that petition as being libelous, or a personal attack on the PM's integrity and affect his ability to govern the UK. So on that logic, the PM will sue!!!
With all due respect, this debate, if ever it was deemed to be one, is over. But do prompt us on our continued struggle and I sincerely hope we can still rely on your support. Good day to you.
