Patrol Cars
It is sad but true. None of the patrol cars from the seies exsist today. they were all loaned to the series from the ocal ford dealer. After cars were exchanged for newer models, the mayberry paint was removed. The lights were also removed from the roofs. The lights were secured with magnets.
Also the cars were an off white color called cornthian white. This is why the cars looked like they were tan and white on the series.
There are good replicas and really bad replicas out there. Sadly none of the shows cars ahd the id numbers recorded for posterity to verify if any cars even are around in regular paint so we will never know.
