Sophie ended up with a cranial abscess and we had to give her shots every two days. With her being so hands off this was a nightmare for both of us and initially I had to drag my husband in to hold her still, which of course caused more stress for her. Someone suggested that I talk to her. What I ended up doing was telling her well in advance that today was shot day, then again about an hour before. The first day I went with this, I spent about 10 minutes talking to her before the needle, telling her that if she stayed still I wouldn't have to get anyone to hold her and it could be done quickly (thankfully by this stage I'd had lots of experience giving shots because of Whisper), and then she could go back out with her buddy. I actually got the shot done by myself with minimal fuss. I have to say I was amazed at the difference. Make sure you're calm before you do anything with him as they will pick up on stress levels. Do give him cuddles, pats and treats after the meds. If he doesn't want cuddles (some get so offended) just stay close, pat him if he'll let you and give him his treat. You're doing great! Melony

Although you said his tilt is more pronounced, it sounds as if he's coping really well. Some buns never lose the tilt and get along just fine. The more he can move around the better he will be. You may also find that he never reaches the rolling stage, so won't need to be confined.
