Posted by Melony on 9/2/2006, 6:58 am, in reply to "Bunny friends" A six week stay is a fairly short time to put a huge amount of effort into any sort of bonding process. There are some things you could try however. Be out there with them when the visitor is running around free, intervene at the first sign of trouble. If you need to keep him apart, see if you can find up an old fashioned wooden play pen, the fold up type without a floor. You'll probably need to run some wire round the lower part to make it escape proof, but this would allow him to be outside with the others, see and sniff them without the danger of harm. Make sure it's place out of the direct sun (rabbits overheat very quickly) and think about putting a roof of some sort to keep our wandering cats. Toss in a box of some sort as a hideout and you have a nice safe space for him. Oh, don't forget to leave water/hay for him as well. Good luck! Melony

If they're not actually hurting him I wouldn't worry too much. Chasing and mounting are, as you no doubt know, fairly normal behaviour for asserting dominance. If they're biting him and he's at risk of injury, you'd do best to separate them.
