Posted by Melony on 10/4/2007, 1:57 pm, in reply to "my bunny is attacking my son" The only other times I've been bitten or nipped is when I've done something they didn't like, usually associated with medicines! I've also been bitten when I stuck my hand between two fighting rabbits. One of my buns will nip if I'm not patting him right and another if I've spent too long grooming her. That particular one doesn't like a lot of handling and while she is very patient with some grooming and nail care she has limits. From what you've said she seems fine with everyone else. Is your son the only one that cleans her cage? Does he generally deal with her the most. If so I'd be leaning toward the her being territorial. If he's the one that cleans then she probably sees him as the biggest threat to her space. The one girl I had that got really agressive only did so with me because I was the one that messed things up. No-one else in the house believed me until they actually saw it. Hope this helped a little. Good luck!

How old is Coly? Females can get very aggressive once they become sexually mature at around 4-6 months and they will defend what they see as their space. Spaying will fix that almost immediately.
