Some are laid back from day one, others are always tentative about new things. Spend lots of time with him and if you have a safe space he can run around, all the better. Sit there with him and let him get used to things at his own pace. Make sure he has a 'burrow' like a box or his bed he can go to if he need to feel secure. Keep treats on hand to tempt him with, preferably something like herbs or unsprayed roses but sultanas, craisins and fruit go down well. The good news is, rabbits are curious creatures and once he's confident nothing's going to hurt him, he'll be having you in fits of laughter with his antices! Melony

Basically it comes down to time. Being prey animals it takes rabbits a little while to get comfortable with new surrounds, mine even get wary if I change their runs around or put a new item in there!
