I toss it straight onto the garden beds. I usually cover the Breeders Choice with hay, so by the time that gets some poops in there as well, the garden loves it. Never had a problem with it killing plants but if you're worried about it, just compost it for a week or so (as in stick it in a pile a corner of the garden).
To give you an example of how I used it, one house we were in was solid clay soil. I literally just dumped the litter trays and sweepings straight onto the garden bed, which was planted with a variety of herbs and ornamentals (roses, gardenias and such). Within a year I could actually dig about 6 inches down quite easily, two years later you'd never know it had been clay. None of the plants showed any signs of suffering and it sure did attract the worms!
I try to garden as naturally as possible so the bunnies and my chooks are a good recycling system... plants go in and fertilizer comes out!
