Thank you all so much for this thread I would not have know about using vapour rub on the cage or keeping him in warmer place then just my house if it had not been for you all. THANK YOU.
I am currently 1 week and a bit into this disease and have started chewing the rabbits food (lettuce and carrots) as he was struggling a bit to eat today but has eaten all of it with ease now. I am also going to add water to his nugget rabbit feed and break them to make a paste if he stops being able to manage to eat those. I have a feeding syringe on hand (the type used on kittens)for top up drinks just in case he stops drinking and am giving him a bowl of water as well as his bottle to allow easy drinking.
Im determined to keep trying to keep my rex - named Chocolate - for his galaxy chocolate fur, fighting this illness. Finger crossed. I hate that we and our rabbit have to go through all of this.
