Well, it sounds as if they're quite comfortable and happy in their home, in particular with the children. They (the children) are obviously very respectful of the animals in terms of handling and contact. Petie may never be a cuddle bun, but, given the progress so far, it probably won't be long until you find him jumping up next to you as well (or more likely giving you a good nudge to move off HIS couch)
