Posted by Donna On and off over the past couple months we have stopped feeding her greens which seemed to help initially but if these are reintroduced they still seem to bother her. She is now refusing to eat pellets and only eating the small amount of pasture mix I give her mixed with pellets as well as hay. But today there was a huge mess in the cage. I’m concerned as I think these are the droppings she should be eating. She doesn’t seem to be gaining any weight. I have purchased different pellet mixtures but this hasn’t improved the situation. Any ideas would be appreciated as what we thought would be great fun has turned out to be a lot of worry and not much enjoyment. I haven’t consulted a vet because I haven’t found one very knowledgable about rabbits. Donna

I own a Mini Lop rabbit approximately 4 ½ months old. She was fine when we brought her home, she was eating a pellet and pasture mix and we started feeding her some carrot, parsley, celery, thistles , hay and the occasional almond as mentioned in your book. She tolerated this well for a few weeks and then started getting very loose stools in the day even though she was still producing normal droppings. This coincided with buying a new pellets and pasture mix from the grain store.
Yours sincerely,
P.S. She still produces normal droppings each day as well as the loose stools.
