You could try giving him/her something else to do. Mine love newspaper, or make a cardboard castle out of boxes and let the rabbit go nuts renovating. Give him some simple toys to play with.. cardboard rolls, baby toys (sets of plastic keys, stacking cubes), cat toys with bells (just make sure the bells can't fall out easily), cane and wicker baskets (untreated and unvarnished), apple branches (unsprayed). I also know that some people will make a special digging box for the rabbit. You can take a cardboard box (or even a deep, plastic container), seal it all up and cut a door at a suitable height and fill with shredded paper. Don't forget to tell the rabbit 'NO' when you catch him digging and either distract him or move him to the digging box. They do understand and can be trained, surprising as that sounds. Just expect him to test occasionally Keep in mind, he's only doing what is natural to him and not really trying to destroy your carpet. Melony

You could try the bitter apple, it does work for some rabbits.
