Posted by Melony on 24/7/2005, 12:17 am, in reply to "Bunnies and Holidays" One option would be for them to stay at your place, outside if necessary, but for them to be enclosed for the part of the day that you can't watch them. Much as I'm not a huge fan of hutches, in this instance I think they'd be a viable option. That way the buns could have a run around when you can be out there with them, but be shut up safely at other times. It is only for a couple of weeks and I know in this situation I'd be happier having my buns in hutches and being cared for by someone I know and that understands rabbits. I'm not aware of any rabbit boarding facilities in Sydney. Some vets will do it, maybe they can ask if they know their vet well. At my surgery I know both the nurses will do home visit for pets. Personally I prefer to have someone with them as they can go downhill far to quickly and 12 hours between visits can be too late in some instances. Good luck! Melony

I wouldn't risk the bunnies being able to take care of themselves if a cat did get in. They may be able too, I've heard of large dogs being really intimidated by the family bun, but it only takes a second for a lot of heartache to ensue.
