Hi Melony
We have three bunnies who all get along really well together, all around 15-18 months old. We have a backyard of medium size with grass and shading etc where our bunnies run around all day. Until we went on holidays, for the past 12 months, we would lock the bunnies in our laundry (where their feed, hay and water is)about 10.30pm or so every night and let them back out in the mornings. We went away for a fortnight and rather than board them, hired a pet sitter who dropped around every second day to change the feed and water etc and to check on them (did a wonderful job too - the company in Sydney is called "Don't Fret Pet" in case a reader is wondering). Obviously they couldn't be locked up each night during this time.
Now that we are back, should we resume locking them up at night or leave them out with the laundry open (as was the case while we were away)so that they can always access their food/water (water is outside too). They seem to prefer to come and go as they please and sleep under the BBQ.
Cats haven't been a problem so far.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
regards, julian
