Thanks for the pet sitter recommendation as well, it's always handy to have a personal experience to draw on, especially when it comes to our beloved fur friends.

I would be worried about mosquitoes, which can transfer myxomatosis. Having lost one bun to Myxo and 3 to Calici, I'm paraniod about mossies and tend to lock mine up as soon as dusk starts to fall, and while cats haven't been an issue so far, it would only take one new neighbour to move in for the worst to happen.
