Bunnies are built to live outside and can cope quite well as long as they're always outside so their coat can thicken. If it was freezing I'd have more concerns. Sadly there are times when there is just no explanation and without a necropsy it would be impossible to tell what the problem was. She may have had an underlying health issue that wasn't apparent. I lost one of mine to chronic kindey failure and we had no idea. She may have gone into stasis (stopped eating and pooping). I've even heard of quite young rabbits having heart failure. So many things can go wrong and even being acutely aware of your pets behaviour, some things are still missed. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Melony
