Too bad, I never quite made Regina, and I've already been to Marquis Downs.
Guess I better shoot for Dinosaur Downs while I can.
Canadas Regina to transfer racing to Prairieland Park
"Citing a steady decline in the industry and heavy financial losses each season, the Regina Exhibition Association, which runs Queensbury Downs in Saskatchewan, will transfer its live racing program to Saskatoons Prairieland Park.
Queensbury was to feature 12 days of Thoroughbred racing in the fall. In addition to gaining Queensburys live racing, Prairieland also acquired the simulcast and telephone betting rights throughout the province. Queensbury will remain open for simulcasting until the end of May, at which time simulcasts will be moved to an unspecified location in Regina and operated by Prairieland."
