Hey Terry,
I did not see a write up for Aquaduct, have you been there? I went there a couple of weeks ago on a cold early December afternoon. Unfortunately the Grandstand was closed so they could put slot machines there. I did explore around the clubhouse and it did little to impress me. The feeling I got was that I was in a big Greyhound bus terminal. They had a few TV's around with simulcasting, however the place was geared toward live racing. The paddock is actually below the track, and patrons have to look down to see the horses and really can't get a close up look at them. Also this was the winter meet, so they run on the inner track making it more difficult to see. Beers are $5.50 and your only option is bud. The only nice part was a big jumbotron next to the tote board that allowed you to follow the horses easier. Overall, the track and grandstand feel very historic and the patrons and staff I talked to were pretty nice. No winners out of 5 races.
