A seven day meet could make money at any Massachusetts fair in its heyday 1990's.. Northampton made money every year (PLENTY) The board of directors were concerned about insurance for the racing part of the fair. If they bring slot machines to race tracks in Mass. You will see the owner of the Brockton Fair go after a longer meet. This was his goal when he put millions of dollars into thefairgrounds in 2001. We will see what happens here in Massachusetts during the upcoming months.
