I was re-reading the story about your trip to Rillito Park a few years ago. What I didnt catch initially was that the QH who raced the car was in fact One Slick Loom. I've worked the Rillito and Az Fair meets the last couple years and know the horse and Jerry Cox well. Thought you might be interested to know that One Slick Loom is still in training but has also SIRED a few. One, a QH maiden named One Slick Girl worked in company with her father earlier this year. You'll be proud to know that the 11 year old Daddy outworked his daughter by 4 lengths!! Respect your elders.
