Posted by Jon Having grown up with Marshfield, Great Barrington, and Northampton fairs, I have tried to fill the void over the last couple years and discover some new Western U.S. fairs. Two years ago, I caught the final Western Montana Fair in Missoula before its racing ceased this past year. However, this last year, I did a tag-team of Tillamook Fair in Oregon and Humboldt County Fair in the victorian village of Ferndale, California. It's actually been great to discover that 1/2-mile fair racing stays alive out west.
