The availability of horses (mostly from Suffolk Downs) is always a concern. Suffolk may not be around too long either as the current governor does not favor slots at Suffolk in his version of potential slots legislation. He favors slots at non-race track locations. One other factor that is costing ALL the small-time racing fairs is the rising cost of jockey insurance.
